Amanda Sue Wilson

Amanda Sue Wilson, 43, passed away on December 28, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma following a courageous battle with cancer.


Amanda was born on September 29, 1979 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Sheila Michael Bruton. She was raised in Mustang, Oklahoma until the fourth grade when she moved to Puxico, Missouri. She was involved in volleyball, played coronet in the band and art graduating from Puxico High School with the class of 1998. She went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Children's Ministry from Central Bible College that lead her vast impact stewarding young people in their faith for over two decades.


Amanda married Jack Dean Wilson, III and from that union was blessed with her four children Tiffany Jewel, Kaeli Michelle, Kimber Dakota and Jack Dean, IV. She considered her children her greatest accomplishment and cherished every moment with them. She was a mom they could count on, their biggest fan and cheerleader. No matter what activity the children were involved in, she was there. They loved taking road trips together and hold dear one recent trip to the Tulsa Aquarium .


Amanda was best known for how much she loved serving students and faculty as a teachers aid, the unwavering love she had for people, her faith and impact through ministry. She was stubborn and strong willed which helped her to be resilient through every storm she faced. She loved taking selfies, her purple hair, had a passion for reading, loved musical theater and supporting the arts and above all was a loyal friend to many.


Amanda's talent for baking led her to win multiple awards at the Oklahoma State Fair and open her own baking business Amanda's Sweet Treats. The community could not get enough of her delicious confections and decorated cakes that where each a masterpiece when she was finished.


Amanda is survived by her four children Tiffany, Kaeli, Kimber and Jack Wilson; her father Michael Bruton and wife Lisa; brother Michael Bruton, Jr. and wife Jenny; brother Rob Bruton and wife Heather; niece Harper Bruton; cousin and caregiver Aaron and Krista Bruton and son Asher along with cousins and many circles of friends.


Amanda is preceded in death by her mother Sheila Bruton.


A Celebration of Life service will be held 6 pm Thursday, January 5, 2022 at Tuttle First Assembly of God church with a confection reception following celebrating her love for baking sweet treats.


Memorial donations can be made in Amanda's name to Tuttle Assembly of God Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge www.tuttlefirstag.org/give or contribute to the Amanda Wilson Medical Fund at Sooner State Bank.
