Christian Luke Taylor

Christian Luke Taylor, age 50, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Christian was born May 10, 1974 in Davenport, Iowa, a son of Barry Schrimsher and Eric Loftsgard. While his parents marriage did not remain, Christian was lovingly raised by his mother in his early years. When he was 12 years old, his mother married Leslie Taylor who adopted Christian and raised him in Jones, Oklahoma. Christian was one of four sons along with his brothers Eric, Jason, and Adam.

Christian entered the workforce working for the FAA in airman records first followed by his long term position in IT until his retirement after 20 years of service. His leadership and work ethic were respected by his peers and acknowledged by the FAA over the years.

Christian had a love for antiques that he acquired from his Grandma Edna who also taught him how to quilt. While antiquing, he was always on the look out for art work and other treasures that peaked his interest. He had a special appreciation for the Victorian Era. Christian had a love for music with Country being his favorite genre. He also enjoyed fishing and watching television classics.

Christian was known as a kind old soul who was born in the wrong era. He was happiest shopping for the next treasure, always looking his best, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Christian is survived by his parents Barry and Leslie Taylor; brother Eric Taylor and wife Brandy; brother Jason Taylor and wife Jessica; brother Adam Taylor and wife Marina; nephew Slade Taylor; nieces Shelby Taylor and Tanner Nelson, Tate Taylor, Morgan Taylor; great niece Brylee Nelson; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Christian is preceded in death by his grandparents Edna Schrimsher, Fred Schrimsher, Hilda and Leonard Taylor; and Stanley Loftsgard.
