Cleta Lorene Rooker, of Tuttle, was born January 19, 1931 at Marland, OK to Marion Spencer Aynes and Eva May (Orr) Aynes, and died January 24,2022, at the age of 91.
She attended a rural school, the Bar L School and later at Windy Center near Sumner. She moved to Tuttle when she was 10 years old attended Tuttle School graduating in 1948 as valedictorian of her class. She attended Hills Business College and worked at Domar Cookie Cutter in Oklahoma City. She married her childhood sweetheart Glenn Rooker, May 14, 1950, and moved south of Tuttle where they farmed and raised cattle for 60 years.
Cleta was a member of the Friendly Mound Extension Homemakers Club for 55 years and worked as a volunteer for 20 years at the Tuttle Community store. She has been a member of Primitive Baptist Church since 1949.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years, Glenn; one brother, Raymond Aynes; three half-brothers, Erman Aynes, Carl Aynes, and Clyde Aynes; and one half sister, Ruby Roberson.
Cleta is survived by one daughter, Kathy and husband Don; one son Stanley, and his wife Suzanne; four grandchildren, Brad Wynn and wife Tasha; Stacy Rich and husband David, Jana Waitman and husband Matt, all of Tuttle; and Jason Rooker and wife Meegan of Wichita, KS.
She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren Alyssa, Cassidy, Tyler, Tucker, Matti, Zachary, Corban, Cianna, and Caison; two sisters, Oneta Doubleday of Pennsylvania and Irene Hewlett of Illinois. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle.
