Debbie Louise (Skaggs) Hoisington, 63, of Tuttle passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 8, 2021 surrounded by family.
Debbie was born on August 6, 1958, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Mary Ellen (Shook) and Gerald "Buddy" Skaggs. Debbie was born and raised in Tuttle on a farm outside of town. She was tough since the day she was born as she was born with hip issues and had to wear a cast that covered both of her legs from the waist down, but family will tell you that never slowed her down. She attended Tuttle schools where she enjoyed FHA, band, and formed many lasting friendships. After graduating high school in 1976, Debbie went straight to work and was employed for many years as a Title Abstractor and gained even more friendships along the way.
Debbie was blessed with three children, Melissa Ann, Sarah Elizabeth, and Jessica Dawn. She spent many days, nights, and weekends watching her girls plays sports and show their animals at livestock shows. As her girls became adults, she loved watching them become moms and raising all her grand babies, so she could watch all of them playing sports and showing livestock animals too.
Debbie was best known for her beautiful smile and kind heart. She enjoyed bowling with her husband Sam and would often travel to bowling tournaments with their friends. Debbie didn't know a stranger and was never afraid to try new things like different restaurants or tearing stuff apart so she could try and fix it when it was broken. Debbie loved to travel with family and friends, and it was sometimes done from the back of a motorcycle which she enjoyed very much. For many years she attended the First Baptist church of Tuttle where she loved singing in the church choir and being around her church family.
Debbie is survived by her husband Sam Hoisington; daughter Melissa Challis and husband Tommy, of Tuttle; daughter Sarah Cook, of Garber; daughter Jessica Loverude and husband Drew, of Tuttle; Stepson Robby Hoisington and wife Julie, of Choctaw; Stepson Dusty Hoisington and fiancé Angel, of Moore; 15 grandchildren Colten and wife Alexandra, Sammy and wife Kirsten, Stephanie, Grady, Jaxon, Harlum, Rae, Ivrie, Brendon, Hunter, Brendan, Matthew, Ryan, Beau and Jacob; one great granddaughter Skylar;brother David Skaggs and wife Terri; sister Denise Robinett and husband Bill along with several cousins, nieces and nephews and friends who she dearly loved.
Debbie is preceded in death by her father Buddy Skaggs, mother Mary Ellen Skaggs and twin granddaughters Emma Dawn and Heather Margaret.
