Donald Ray Dunkin

Donald Ray Dunkin, age 86, of Newcastle, Oklahoma, passed away November 13th, 2023, peacefully at his home.

Born on January 13th, 1937, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Pearl (Martin) and Johnnie Dunkin. Donald served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960. On October 20th, 1960, he married Shirley Cottrell in Pauls Valley, OK.

After his Air Force service, he began his aircraft career at Ardmore Air Force Base in 1961. Moving to Oklahoma City in 1964, he dedicated 22 years to AeroCommander and retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1999 after 14 years of service. Donald married Geneva (Norvell) Brown in 2000 and Brenda (Brown-Farris) in 2014.

Donald is survived by his son Darrin Dunkin and wife Pamela of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter Sheila Wallbrown and husband Travis of Newcastle, OK: four grandchildren Noah, Elizabeth, Cooper, and Conner Wallbrown; sister Maxine Bumgardner and husband Junior; sister Winnie Buchanan and husband Art; seven stepchildren and their families, numerous nieces and nephews, and a circle of lifelong friends.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents Pearl and Johnnie Duncan; wives Shirley, Geneva, and Brenda; sister Margaret Phillips; sister Betty Jo Dunkin; and brother-in-law Buddy Phillips.
