Donna Kay Mccance

Donna Kay [Sutton] McCance, 72, passed from this life Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 in Yukon, Oklahoma after a long illness.

Donna was born April 14th in Sayre Oklahoma. She was the baby of the family. Her first residence was on a cattle ranch near Ashtola, Texas, but that was only the beginning of a lifelong adventure. Her Dad held various jobs in many locations so she grew up attending schools in Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico.She graduated from Cheyenne, Oklahoma High School in 1969.

Donna married the love of her life, Ron McCance, in The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 8th, 1971 after a courtship of one month and she and Ron continued the custom of moving every few years. Ron worked for various oil companies and supply companies and eventually retired from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Donna had several hobbies; painting, arts and crafts, cake decorating, and doting over her grandkids. For a while, early in life, she even sang in a country band in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.

Donna is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ron McCance; two daughters, Dallas and her husband Darren Linden of Bixby, Oklahoma, Darby and her husband Brad Bute of Minco, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Clay Woodard, Jarret and Major Linden of Bixby, Oklahoma, Tanner Bute, Kaylee and her husband Denton Mincey of Minco, Oklahoma; one great grandson, Kasen Cole Mincey of Minco, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jerry and his wife Janelle Sutton of Elk City, Oklahoma, Larry and his wife Peggy Sutton of Vinita, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Faye [Goodwin] Sutton.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life 1pm Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at the Binger, Oklahoma Church of Christ with burial following beside her parents as she wished at Mulberry Cemetery in Sweetwater, Oklahoma.
