Florence Juliann O'Hara, 86, passed away on October 28, 2022, in Yukon, OK.

Florence was born at home on November 27, 1935 in Bessie, OK, to Emil and Alvina (Bolinger) Mueller. She would tell stories of her early years during the Dust Bowl when her mother would put a wet blanket over her for protection. Although the dust would get inside the house because of no insulation, her parents never spoke of the hard times. Florence was one of three daughters alongside her sisters Volina and Kathleen. She started school in a one room schoolhouse called Prarie View where she went her first three years until the school closed. Florence attended Arapaho High School graduating with the class of 1953. She was away from home for the first time when she moved to Oklahoma City to attend Business School on a scholarship.

Florence married Max O'Hara on June 12, 1955 in Clinton, Oklahoma and the two were blessed with three children Deanna Kay, Loren Dale and Bert Dean. She was a loving Christian wife and mother who was known for made from scratch meals such as chicken fried steak, kolaches and her homemade vanilla ice cream. No matter what time of day the farming was done, Florence always had a hot meal on the table. She was a meticulous seamstress and would make clothes for her family and crafted beautiful one of a kind quilts. She loved the life she and Max built on the family farm where she decorated her kitchen with chickens. Florence enjoyed raising chickens as well along with tending to a garden along with her flowers. She loved being a Grandma to her six grandchildren Forrest, McCall, Kaila, Lane, Mary and Grady as well as her six great grandchildren Peyton, Malania, Remington, Riverlyn, Quade and Quilla.
