Jeffrey Allan Spear

September 17, 1965 — May 7, 2022

Jeffrey Spear, 56, passed away suddenly on May 7, 2022, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a beloved father, Pops, brother and friend to those fortunate to know him.

Jeffrey, known by many as "Jeff" was born on September 17, 1965 in Albuquerque, NM, to Karen and Kenneth Spear. During his early years, he lived in Lenexa, Kansas with his parents and brother Jason until moving to Allen, Texas where he graduated from Allen High School with the class of 1984. Throughout high school, Jeff was an athlete in baseball, football and basketball. He went on to attend McMurry University in Abilene, Texas where he played football. Jeff was also involved in other campus activities like the IHR Men's Social Club. An opportunity in retail management with Champs Sports took him to Denton, Texas and eventually Oklahoma where he put down roots.

Jeff married Amy Base October 27, 1991 at the Tuttle Christian Church in Tuttle, OK and from that union was blessed with three daughters Dylonn Noel, Macey Laine and Tyler Reese. His daughters were his world, and he theirs. Jeff was always there for his girls and enjoyed coaching their softball and Little Dribblers teams, lunch dates and encouraging them in their personal interests. He proudly held the title of "Pops" to his grandsons Hawk Dawson and the late Cameron Lee and was looking forward to two more grandsons on the way Harvey Allan and Reese Allan Wayne.

Jeff owned and operated American Awnings in Tuttle for 26 years. He was loved by his community and the many customers he served over the years. Jeff was one who quietly helped others without wanting recognition. He also was a donor of school organizations and sports for many years.

Jeff was best known for giving nicknames to those we was closest to. One such person was his brother Jason who he called "Beav." He loved spending time with his buddies traveling to sporting events, hanging out and playing cards.

Above all, he was a man of faith. Through the years he attended Tuttle Christian Church and Victory Family Church where he served in childrens's church and vacation bible school runningi games.

Jeff is survived by daughter Dylonn Spear; daughter Macey Spear and Dawson Bassett; daughter Tyler Buie and husband Dakota; grandson Hawk Bassett; brother Jason Spear and a host of extended family and friends.
