JoElla Novak, 89, passed away on January 15, 2022, in Oklahoma City, OK.
JoElla was born on April 3, 1932 in Bridgeport, OK, to Nella and Nelson Eldred. She grew up in Bridgeport, Ok and Yukon, OK and graduated from Yukon High School with the class of 1949. Following High School graduation, the family moved to Waurika, OK.
Jo married Bob Novak in Waurika, OK and the two were married for 71 years. The couple had 3 children, Cynda Janelle, Becky Louise, and Curtis Brian.
JoElla was a member of the United Methodist Church for many years where she was involved in the Womens Society of Christian Service and served as President. She enjoyed bowling with her league friends, puzzles, reading books, word finds and traveling to Green Leaf Lake with her family. JoElla loved playing pool and recently puchased a pool table to enjoy playing with her son at home.
Jo is survived by her daughter Cynda Cole and husband Ricky; daughter Becky Wehba and husband Dave, son Curtis Novak; five grandchildren Kristen Kuepker and husband Mike, Keeley Sullins and husband Tyler, Sam Laymon and wife Hollye, Molly Kennett and husband James, Will Wehba and wife Sarah; nine great-grandchildren Greyson, Landon, Wyatt, Jesse, Everett, Owen, Ellie, Liam and Max; sister Neva Sears and sister Elaine Barnes and husband James along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jo is preceded in death by her parents Nella and Nelson Eldred; husband Bob Novak; half brother Roy Eldred; and half sister Mildred Williamson.
