Johnie Lyne Johnson

Johnie Lyne Johnson, 65, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 6, 1959, to Betty and Bill Ashlock, Johnie grew up with her brothers, Bobby Beckman and Randy Ashlock, and learned early in life the value of resilience, love, and family.

Johnie began her journey as a mother at the young age of 15, welcoming her first daughter, Jackie, followed closely by Sharon, Sarah, and Angie. She embraced motherhood with unwavering devotion, becoming the anchor for her four daughters and always ensuring their needs came first. Her life was marked by strength and sacrifice, particularly after the untimely loss of her first husband, Wayne Rodgers, at the age of 30. Faced with raising her daughters alone as a young widow, she reentered the workforce, embodying determination and resourcefulness to provide for her family.

Years later, she found love and laughter once again with Gary Johnson, who brought immense joy to her life. Despite the tragic heartbreak of losing Gary at the age of 40, Johnie remained steadfast, finding purpose in her work as a caregiver for the elderly—a role she cherished until her health no longer allowed her to continue.

Johnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, affectionately known as “Memaw.” Her love for her family was fierce and unconditional, and her warmth touched everyone who knew her. She was known for her sweet “Hello, Darlin’,” her heartfelt birthday songs, and her deep love for Elvis Presley, Walker Texas Ranger, and the movie “Titanic”, as well as her vast collection of butterflies and teddy bears.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving family: daughters Jackie Loyd (Greg), Sharon Robertson (Mark McLain), Sarah Stuckey (Bruce), and Angie Condren (Dustin); her cherished grandchildren Dakota Norton, Dillain Stuckey, Leslie Loyd, Libertee, Madison, and Kori Condren; and her beloved great-granddaughters Taylor and Navie Norton. As well as a sister, Nancy Ashlock and brother, Randy Ashlock, many cousins, aunts/uncles, and family and friends.

Johnie is preceded in death by both of her spouses, Wayne Rodgers and Gary Johnson; her parents, Betty and Ed Hoard; her brother Bobby Beckman; and her granddaughter, Alyssa Condren.

Johnie’s life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew her.
