Lajuene Jackson

January 14, 1931 — June 17, 2021

LaJuene Jackson, 90, passed away on June 17, 2021, in Mustang, OK.

LaJuene was born on January 14, 1931 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Russell Reeves and Katie Reeves. LaJuene was raised in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School. Following graduation, she met Otis Jackson who had returned from WWII. It was love at first sight and shortly after they married March 27, 1949. The couple were blessed with four children Danny, Bonnie, Susan and Andy. They ran a dairy for 50 years beginning in Pocasset and ending in Tuttle.

LaJuene was sassy, quick witted, and always had a smile on her face. The only thing she loved more than people, was being able to visit with them. She loved going to Walkers, Wilmas, The Grocery Store, of course the Post office, and out to eat where each stop was just about stopping in to talk. She absolutely loved watching her grandkids play sports and rarely ever missed a game. She was always the loudest one in the stands, but always the proudest too. LaJuene could light up any room she walked into, and had a laugh that all will be able to hear in their head forever.

LaJuene was a member of the home extension club and served as class parent. She and Otis loved traveling in their motor home and attending Tuttle First Baptist Church for many years. For many years, she and Otis square danced as members of the Swinging Chicks Square Dance Club. A women who loved to socialize and travel, she especially loved traveling with the Joy church group and was a regular at the Tuttle Senior Citizens Center.

LaJuene is survived by her son Danny Jackson and wife Patti; daughter Bonnie Jones and husband Larry, daughter Susan Turner and husband Scotty; son Andy Jackson and wife Regina; 11 grandchildren Angela Mainka and husband Eric, Amy Brown and husband Matt, Brian Jackson and wife Alisha, Kerri Davenport and husband Jeff, Sherri Goodson and husband Hershel, Jodie Raven and husband Donovan, Chad Turner and wife Tammy, Cody Turner and wife Michella, Katie Turner, Jason Jackson and wife Tina, Candice Owens and husband Justin; 28 great grandkids and 5 great great grandkids.

LaJuene is preceded in death by her husband Otis Jackson; her parents Katie and Russell Reeves; sister Genevieve Grissom; and brother DeWayne Reeves.
