Linda Elaine Earnest

Linda Elaine (Curlee) Earnest, 75, passed away on January 11th, 2025 after a very short battle with Cancer.

Linda was born on May 18, 1949 to Duke W. Jones and Yvonne Steirer Jones in Baytown, Texas. Her childhood was spent in Baytown and she moved to Boulder, Colorado in her early teens, where she graduated from Fairview High school in 1967.

She married Gary Curlee on September 28, 1968 and from that union had two children, Albert Joseph and Tamer Theresa. Linda moved to Tuttle Oklahoma in 1968 where she spent many years as a housewife and mother. Later in the late 1980's, she went to work at Delta Faucet in Chickasha where she worked until Retirement.

On June 23, 2001, she married the love her life Harold "Eddie" Edward Earnest. Anyone who knew Linda knew she was a devoted wife and loving mother, a great friend and as her seven grandchildren would say the Best Gammy! Her grandchildren were the absolute joy of her life. Linda and Eddie enjoyed their retirement years gardening, being outside and attending the many activities of her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Duke Jones and Yvonne Tapp; her step-dad Vernon Tapp; her husband Eddie Earnest; siblings Duke Jones, Ellen Shaw, David Jones; grandson in-law Kaleb George.

She is survived by her son Chet Curlee; son Albert Curlee and wife Wendy; daughter Tamer Wray and husband Dathan; grandchildren Reecie Wilkins and husband Brandon, Carlee Bottoms and husband Cody, Celsey Stopp and husband Jacob, Cydnee Jordan and husband Austin, Caitlyn Glass and husband Ethan, Jan Smith and husband Hunter, Brady King and wife Leah; nine great grandchildren Raylee Stopp, Ellison Stopp, Kambreigh Wilkins, Olivia King, Adaline Stopp, Kaleb King, Lainey Bottoms, Baker Glass, Paisley Bottoms and Xander Jordan due to arrive in April; a special niece Cindy Venable; great nephew Kevin Creekmore; and a host of relatives and friends.
