Patricia Ann Henderson

Patricia Ann “Pat” Henderson of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away at the age of 83 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Pat was born August 10, 1941 in Cherokee, Oklahoma the daughter of Lucille and Bill Page. She was raised in Jett, Oklahoma alongside her brother Billy where she attended school graduating with the Jett High School Class of 1959.

After graduation, Pat married Charles Frey and from that union was blessed with two children Larry and Robin. She loved being a mother who instilled faith and the importance of attending church from a young age. They knew they were loved and she worked hard to ensure she was able to provide for them.

Pat cared deeply for others and had the heart of a caregiver. She was happiest serving others by taking them baked goods or helping in ways they needed. Pat was an incredible cook and known especially for her delicious cinnamon rolls. She had a green thumb and enjoyed being outdoors working in her flower beds. Pat had a special love for animals throughout the years with many pets that she loved as family. She would always say “my favorite breed is rescue.”

While Pat was living in Northwestern Oklahoma, Terry Henderson was traveling to the visit Great Salt Plains State Park with his son Taylor to search for crystals. The two met and their love story began. They were a couple who did everything together. Whether they were camping at Broken Bow Lake or working in the yard, they were a couple who shared a special friendship as well as a marriage. The role Pat loved the most was being Grandma to Jade, Andrew, Caden, and Cydnee. She loved having the grandkids at her house playing checkers, cards, and even croquet. She was a hands on grandma who loved being in her home with a crowded table serving them food. 

Pat was a woman of strong faith who took her passion for cooking to serving in her home church at Heritage Family Baptist Church. She raised her family to love the Lord and her testimony was shown through the way she served others as Christ would. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and a huge heart that will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Pat is survived by her husband of 39 years Terry Henderson; son Larry Frey and wife Melissa; daughter Robin Shafer; son Taylor Henderson and wife Aimee; grandchildren Jade Frey, Andrew Frey, Caden Henderson, and Cydnee Henderson; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that loved her dearly.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents Lucille and Bill Page; her brother Bily Page; and infant sister Mary Alice.
