Richard Stockstill

Richard Kreg Stockstill, age 65, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully Friday, February 23, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma following a courageous battle with his health later in life.
Kreg was born May 18, 1958 in Littlefield, Texas, a son of Joan and Louis "Richard" Stockstill. Kreg spent his early years in Earth, Texas. Growing up he loved motorcycles and racing motocross. He attended Putnam City High School graduating with the class of 1976. Kreg went on to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Kreg met Kerri McIntyre and their love story began. The two married August 12, 1983 in the chapel at Tuttle First Baptist Church. The couple was blessed with two children Kody Kreg and Kayci Lynn. They enjoyed trips to Lake Texoma spending days water skiing and a recent week long road trip with his family where he took a dip in the Atlantic ocean. Kreg taught his children to have a hard work ethic and was an involved Dad with his kids in dance and sports. He was willing to work multiple jobs in order for Kerri to stay home with their children. Kreg worked for several years in the oilfield, then landscaping and tree trimming. He started with the United States Postal Service carrying mail in 1990 and then went into management. Kreg retired from the Postal Service after 31 years of service.

Throughout adulthood, Kreg was happiest at the ocean. Every chance he had, he got in the ocean and didn't want to leave. Kreg also loved being outdoors working in soil. He mowed their five acre home on his John Deere, raised a garden, and loved landscaping. Sitting in the sun among nature was his favorite place to be.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Kerri Stockstill; son Kody Stockstill; daughter Kayci Stockstill; mother Joan McIntyre; sister Kim Campbell; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
