Robert Lynn Taylor, 86, went to be with our Lord, Jesus, in Heaven on January 22, 2025.
Born on May 17, 1938, to Wila Mae and Joseph Taylor, Robert lived a life full of love, adventure, and dedication.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Robert exemplified a strong work ethic and a commitment to service. After his military tenure, he retired from Wilson’s Meat Packing Company, where he devoted 22 years of service. In the early 1970s, Robert earned his pilot’s license, a testament to his adventurous spirit and love of exploration.
Robert’s career and passions were as diverse as his experiences. He worked at Old Paris Flea Market and Brookside and Broadmoor Golf Courses and was a familiar face at the Oklahoma State Fair. Together with his beloved wife, Clara, he traveled as a demonstrator for Sam’s, creating cherished memories along the way. In addition, they became integral members of the Tuttle community, owning and operating J&R Furniture in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Clara Taylor; his daughter, Terri Nichols and her husband Tony; his son, Robert L. Taylor Jr.; and his treasured grandchildren: Brandon and Kristie Walker, Andrew and Carrie Moss, Dillon Taylor, Kayle Walker, Taylor Walker, and Andy Moss.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Robert’s life and legacy. The family kindly requests privacy during this time of mourning as they celebrate his remarkable journey and the love he brought to their lives.
