Stephen Earl Hamilton

Stephen Hamilton, age 60, passed away at home on February 21, 2022, in Tuttle, OK.

Stephen, referred to as Earl by those who knew him" was born on March 3, 1961 in Augsburg, Germany, to Twila and Michael Hamilton. He grew up in Levelland, Texas, then Colorado and moved to Oklahoma his senior year of high school. During these years, Stephen enjoyed frequenting local Honky Tonks with his buddies. Following graduation, he went on to attend trade school at Oklmulgee Tech to study Diesel Mechanics.

He started his career as an electrician and went on to work for the City of Oklahoma City for 20 years until his retirement. He then went on to work in maintenance for both Newcastle and Tuttle public schools where he was dearly beloved.

Stephen married Valerie Kirkham and from that union was blessed with two children Jesse Earl and Stephanie Kay. His kids and grandkids were his world and he enjoyed quality with them camping, on the rodeo circuit, attending sporting events and band concerts and was known as their loudest cheerleader in the stands.

Stephen was best known for his kind and generous spirit. While he never wanted recognition, he was always helping others and giving to those in need. He loved people and people loved him.

Stephen is survived by his son Jesse Hamilton and wife Ali; daughter Stephanie Conner and husband Brian; brother Mike Hamilton; and grandchildren Taylor Conner, Samuel Hamilton; John Conner and James Conner.

Stephen is preceded in death by his parents Twila and Michael Hamilton and sister Carrie Faller.
