Thomas Franklin Troxler, age 83, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at his home and now is peacefully with the Lord
Thomas was born November 25, 1940 in Yanceyville, North Carolina, a son of Hallie and James Troxler. When Tom was in high school he loved to play football and basketball but he especially excelled at baseball. When Tom graduated from Ketchum high school in 1958, he moved to California and lived with his brother Buster while he got situated. While living in California Tom was an umpire and coach for little league teams. Tom also started his career with Milens jewelry company and worked for them for over 10 years.
Tom met the love of his life Beverly Bradsaw through his sister Pam. Tom still lived in California and Beverly lived in Vinita, Oklahoma therefore their relationship started by writing letters and talking on the phone. Tom proposed to Beverly over the phone and just six months later on March 30th 1986 they got married in Reno, Nevada.
When Tom wasn't working, he loved to do yard work, go to lake Hefner, watch old westerns, Christian ministries, sports and house hunters. In 1996, Tom and Beverly moved back to Oklahoma, where they loved to travel to Branson, Eureka Springs, Colorado and Arkansas Their favorite tradition was going to Christmas eve mass, going out to dinner and then driving around to see all the Christmas lights.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 38 years Beverly Troxler, one son, one daughter and a step-daughter; sister Pamela Moore; sister Mary McGlassen and a host of nephews and nieces.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Hallie and James Troxler; brother James Troxler; brother Rev. Ronnie Moore and brother George Moore.
