Tracie Rene Scott

March 13, 1974 — June 20, 2022

Tracie Scott, 48, passed away June 20, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Tracie Scott was born on March 13, 1974 in West Monroe, Louisiana, to Sue and Marvin Butler. She attended elementary school in Riverside, California. She had a happy childhood full of fun times and friends during her time there. She moved to Louisiana with her family as a teen where she attended West Monoroe High School with the class of 1992.

She attended college at Northeast Louisiana University until she joined the workforce with an accounting career. She married Huey Kilcrease and from that union was blessed with her only son Cole. During this time, she was a working mom who managed to bring happiness and a peaceful environment for her son. She was loving to the core and selfless putting others before herself. Tracie was an overcomer who encountered a time of transition which lead her to her marry Jason Scott. Her journey as a mother grew with the arrival of her two daughters Katie Sue and Emily Ann. While her journey as a wife was not to last, her role as mom was long lasting. She was a mom who did it all including sports, competitive cheerleading and anything else the kids were involved in.

She was a woman who leaned into her faith in God. Scripture reading, listening to praise and worship, attending church and daily devotionals were all a means of mainting her spiritual walk. She instilled faith in her children including a special prayer at night.

She loved working in the yard, planting flowers, sitting by water to relax, had a love for music and nature. You would find her on the go, singing, dancing and was happiest while being active.

Tracie is survived by her son Cole Kilcrease; daughter Katie Scott; daughter Emily Scott; brother Terry Tyler; brother Roger Holdman; uncle Dickie Butler; uncle Ronnie Butler and along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tracie is preceded in death by her parents Sue and Marvin Butler along with her grandparents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in the near future in West Monroe, Louisiana.
