Wauthena Sue Murr

December 7, 1930 — January 23, 2022

Wathena "Sue" Murr of Tuttle, Oklahoma went to be an angel with her "Best Buddy" Jesus on January 24th, 2022 at the age of 91 surrounded by prayers and song. She was born December 7th, 1930 and adopted by Bertha and Eugene Marshall of Poteau, OK. She was thrilled to be able to choose her own adoptive brother UG Marshall.

Sue was the wife of retired Police Chief and Pastor of Liberty Christian Fellowship William "Bill" Murr. She was the "Love of his Life" for 68 years. They were blessed with five children Billy Bob, Terry Wayne, Faith Jeanette and David Marcus. The two served in the ministry their entire married life and impacted thousands of people.

A caregiver at heart, Sue owned her own nursing facility where she cared for the elderly and worked as a nurses aid in labor and delivery at Deaconess and Saint Anthony hospitals.

Lovingly referred to as "Yellow Grandma," she had many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchild who loved her dearly and will miss her. She enjoyed quality time with each of them and cooking her delicious food to share at family gatherings.
Yellow Grandma Sue founded Liberty Christian Fellowship where she pastored alongside her husband and played the Piano for over 35 years. She had a heart of gold and ministered by both her gift of piano and with her letter ministry. She loved anyone and everyone where they were, slow to judge and quick to have compassion and act on it. Sue was founding Chair and Secretary of the Tuttle Area Chamber of Commerce and was very involved with local VFW chapters. She had a passionate heart to serve veterans and our military. She was an incredible Mother, Wife, Grandmother and Great-Grandma. Her introducing and sharing Jesus and the love of Christ with her family and community on this Earth will forever be her greatest accomplishment. Her family has certainty that the she heard the words "Well done, my good and faithful servant" as she entered Heaven.

Wauthena "Sue" Murr is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, son Troy as well as her siblings.

She is survived by her son Billy Bob and wife Cindy, son Terry and wife Bodie, daughter Faith Williams-Lyons and husband Robert and son David Marcus and wife Dianna along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her.
