Zettie Florence Johnson

Zettie Johnson, age 75, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 13, 1949, in Kanauga, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of Cecil and Lytie Jewell.

Zettie’s journey through life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep devotion to her family. At the tender age of 19, she married Clinton Dement and from their union, three beloved children were born: Clinton Dement Jr., Patricia Dement, and Christine Dement.

A woman of many passions, Zettie’s zest for life could be seen in her love for shopping. Whether it was scouring thrift stores for a hidden gem, finding the best bargain, or indulging in the latest deals on the shopping network, Zettie found joy in the thrill of the hunt. Her playful spirit also led her to enjoy trips to the casino, where she loved the excitement and camaraderie. Known for her impeccable style, Zettie made a point to keep her nails beautifully done, a reflection of her vibrant personality.

One of Zettie’s greatest joys was her feathered companion, Marco, who brought her endless happiness and her 4-legged babies. But above all else, her heart belonged to her family, especially her grandchildren. Zettie delighted in dressing them up and creating treasured memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Zettie’s warm smile, kind heart, and boundless energy will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

 She is survived by her son Clinton Dement Jr; daughter Patricia Dement; daughter Christine Witt; 11 grandchildren, Patrick, Hannah, Zettie, Wade, Clinton III, Travis, Tiffany, Joshua, Jacob, Chase, Abigail and many great-grandbabies, nieces, nephews and extend family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Jack Jewell; grandsons Cory Sloan, Dustin Sloan, Chance Richardson and Andrew Witt.

 Services for Zettie will be held at a later date.
